Publication Ethics

The editorial board of the Filoteknos journal follows the principles of publication ethics based on the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) available at https://publicationethics.org/.

  1. The editorial board is responsible for all contents published in the journal and is committed to complying with legal requirements and scientific publication standards.
  2. The editorial board ensures impartiality and objectivity of the publishing process. The manuscripts submitted by the authors are only evaluated in terms of their contents. In addition, the editorial board ensures the confidentiality of editorial work, which means that prior to publication, the submitted manuscripts are made available only to persons directly concerned and involved in the publishing process (i.e. reviewers, editors, proofreaders, translators, etc.).
  3. The editorial board records and documents all manifestations of scientific misconduct, especially infringements or violations of copyright or ethical rules in science.
  4. In the event of suspected misconduct in a submitted manuscript, the editorial board collects the necessary documentation and determines to what extent the author violates the principles of publication ethics. If the suspected violation of publication ethics is confirmed, the editorial board asks the author to clarify the situation.
  5. In the absence of a substantive and satisfactory explanation, the editorial board has the right to reject the manuscript and may inform the persons and institutions directly supervising the research that is the subject of the manuscript (among others, institutions employing the authors, scientific societies, etc.).
  6. If unreliable information is detected in an already published article, the editorial board publishes on the website and in the journal the relevant information (correction, statement, etc.); it can also retract the article.
